What happened
Continuation. The program remains a fully active studio area within the CSULB School of Art and continues to graduate metalsmithing/jewelry students. Leadership has turned over from the archived-era faculty (Alvin Pine, Dieter Muller-Stach) to current Program Head Susanna Ali. The program restructured into the BFA "3D Media" option (Fiber/Metal/Wood) while retaining a distinct Metal track and dedicated facilities (24-workstation main studio, outdoor blacksmithing facility, separate graduate studio). A 2025 student-news article confirms ongoing senior metal-arts exhibitions.
