Now known as
Casper College — Visual Arts Department (metalsmithing/jewelry as a course sequence/concentration, not a standalone program)

What happened
The metals/jewelry offering continues but as part of the Art/Fine Art curriculum rather than a discrete named program. Leadership/faculty transitioned away from the archived instructor Linda L. Ryan (listed "1982 to present" in the old record). Ryan still appears on RateMyProfessors but is no longer in the current Visual Arts Department faculty roster; sculpture/metalsmithing is now taught by Carli Holcomb (tenured 2021, MFA Virginia Commonwealth University), who heads the sculpture/metalsmithing concentration. The department's chair is Justin Hayward. No closure of metals instruction was found; metalsmithing courses remain in the catalog.
