What happened
The metals/jewelry program continues uninterrupted as part of the Department of Art & Design. Leadership of the area changed: the archived faculty member David G. Logan (listed "1979 to present") is no longer on the faculty; the jewelry/metals area is now led by Professor Mindy Herrin-Lewis (M.F.A., Indiana University). David Logan does not appear in the current faculty directory, indicating retirement/departure since the archived record. The current Department of Art & Design chair is Tao Huang. No closure, merger, or renaming of the program was found.
