What happened
The institution was not closed. On 2022-03-10 the PASSHE board approved integrating Edinboro University with Clarion University and California University of Pennsylvania, effective 2022-07-01. California University was the surviving institution and was renamed Pennsylvania Western University (PennWest); the Edinboro site now operates as "PennWest Edinboro." Edinboro University of Pennsylvania's separate accreditation and PA degree-granting authority ceased 2022-07-01. The metals/jewelry program continued through this transition uninterrupted and remains active at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The archived faculty record (Gene Bahling, 1969–) is long superseded; current metals faculty are Amendolara and Counard.
