What happened
UNAM's art school, formerly Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (ENAP), renamed Facultad de Artes y Diseño (FAD) in 2014; active (director Dr. Mauricio Juárez Servín, 2022–2026). Teaches silversmithing/jewelry chiefly at its Taxco campus: Taller de Platería y Joyería Fina, Licenciatura en Arte y Diseño, the diplomado "Técnicas Tradicionales de la Platería Mexicana," continuing-ed metals/filigree/enamel workshops, and the international Platynos contemporary-jewelry congress.
