What happened
A private trade school in Selma, Alabama, founded and run by Homer Lee and Doris Shero Holland for "nearly half a century," offering certificate-level instruction in casting, gemology, jewelry making and repair, mold making, plating, mechanical watch servicing, stone setting, and wax carving/modeling. It is now closed: business directories (Yelp, iBegin, YellowPages) at the school's old address (1034 Dawson Ave, Selma, AL 36701) list it as CLOSED. No specific closure date was found, but the school was already defunct by the directory's offline window (~2014-2019); only the founders' retail store (Doris Holland Diamonds & Jewelry, 2603 Citizens Pkwy, Selma, AL) and the David Lee Holland brand remain active. This was never a degree-granting academic program; it had no host department, accreditation listing, or chair in the academic sense.
