What happened
LSU School of Art (College of Art & Design), a real, active public university art program. No standalone metals/jewelry concentration or degree (studio areas are ceramics, painting/drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture at BFA & MFA), BUT it does teach jewelry/metalsmithing at the course level: ART 2655 Basic Jewelry/Metalsmithing and ART 2656 Intermediate Jewelry/Metalsmithing appear in the current LSU General Catalog (soldering, forming, stone setting in bronze/copper/sterling silver). Could not confidently identify a current dedicated metals faculty member, so faculty left empty (not invented). Note: the dedicated Metalwork & Jewelry CONCENTRATION in Louisiana is at the separate University of Louisiana at Lafayette, not LSU.
