LSU School of Art (College of Art & Design), an active public university art program. There is no standalone metals/jewelry concentration (studio areas are ceramics, painting/drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture at BFA and MFA), but it teaches jewelry/metalsmithing at the course level: ART 2655 Basic and ART 2656 Intermediate Jewelry/Metalsmithing (soldering, forming, stone setting in bronze/copper/sterling silver). The dedicated Metalwork & Jewelry concentration in Louisiana is at the separate University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
