What happened
Continuation with leadership change. The archived faculty (Komelia H. Okim, who taught at Montgomery College from 1972 until her retirement, and Brian Meek, who started 1994) are no longer listed on the current Art Department faculty/staff page. The metals/jewelry area has continued under new leadership: Lucy Louise Derickson now serves as Coordinator of the Jewelry and Metalsmithing/Crafts Area, with Tendai Johnson as overall Art Department chair. The program remains active enough that Montgomery College continues to post for part-time Jewelry & Metalsmithing instructors and maintains a student-artwork gallery page for the area.
