What happened
Lynn Duggan (archived as "1978 to present") retired as faculty emerita in May 2016 after nearly 40 years, marked by a retrospective "Lynn Duggan: Trajectory." In 2017 Nazareth hired Holland Houdek (MFA Jewelry & Metalsmithing, Syracuse) as assistant professor of jewelry & metalsmithing and gallery director; she took over the metalsmithing course offerings. Houdek was promoted to associate professor and Studio Art undergraduate program director by 2023. The institution became Nazareth University in 2024. Despite well-publicized financial/budget pressures at Nazareth in 2024–2025, the Studio Art program with its jewelry and metals concentrations remains listed and active.
