What happened
The art program continued and expanded rather than closing. ORU added a BFA in Art around 2012 and the offering now sits in the College of Arts & Cultural Studies with Studio Art, Graphic Design, and Game Design concentrations. The discrete "metals/jewelry" program recorded in the archived directory (faculty Norma Latta, 1986-to-present) no longer appears as a named program — it was effectively absorbed/renamed into the general Studio Art / sculpture track. The named archived faculty member (Norma Latta) could not be found in any current ORU faculty listing or external art-world source, consistent with a leadership/personnel turnover since the directory went offline (~2014-2019).
