What happened
Continuation and significant growth. The program (established 1993) has continued uninterrupted since the directory went offline. Jay Song has been chair throughout (since 2009). In May 2026 Jewelers Mutual announced a $10 million, 10-year investment and the jewelry building (Fahm Hall) was renamed "Jewelers Mutual Studio." No closure, merger, or rename of the academic program itself; degrees continue as BFA/MA/MFA in Jewelry within the School of Fashion.
