What happened
Continuation, not closure. The institution is now Seton Hill University (it became a university in 2002; "Seton Hill College" is the historical name). The metals offering persists as a concentration inside the Art & Design Department rather than as a standalone program. The archived "Filkosky 1955–1999" record refers to Sister Josefa Filkosky (born Patricia Filkosky), who taught three-dimensional art, metalsmithing, and sculpture on the Seton Hill art faculty from 1959 until her death from a brain tumor in 1999, serving as department chair from 1978; the archived "1955" start year and "Joseph" first name appear to be record errors. Since ~2014 the program has continued under the current Art & Design Department structure, now chaired by Pati Beachley.
