What happened
Southwestern College (SWCCD), a public community college in Chula Vista, CA. Its Art program currently offers a full jewelry/metalwork sequence: ART 185A-D (Jewelry and Metalwork I-IV) plus ART 186A-D open-studio labs, covering soldering, forging, raising, hydraulic press, titanium anodizing, stonesetting and precious metals. Live current catalog and active site confirm operation 2025-26. No specific current jewelry/metals instructor named on public pages (Art Dept Chair listed is John Pickelle, MFA, but not confirmed as the metals instructor), so faculty left empty rather than guess.
