What happened
Continuation under an institutional rename. "State University College at Buffalo" is the formal historic name for what is publicly known as Buffalo State College; it was rebranded as "SUNY Buffalo State University" (university designation granted ~2023). The metals/jewelry program continued through this period and remains an active, NASAD-accredited concentration. It was reorganized into the consolidated "Art and Design" degree structure (formerly a standalone Design Department / separate art degrees), with metals/jewelry now a concentration within the Art and Design B.F.A./B.A. rather than a freestanding major.
