What happened
Real, operating SUNY university with active Dept. of Art & Design (BFA/BA/BS). Metal-working IS currently taught, but within the Sculpture area (ART 362 Sculpture: Metal — direct/indirect metalworking, casting foundry, welding, plasma cutter), not as a standalone jewelry/metalsmithing program. The older dedicated Metalwork & Jewelry course sequence (ART 381/382/383/484, ART 484 Adv. Problems in Metal/Jewelry) in past catalogs no longer appears in the current catalog; current concentrations are Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Sculpture. SNAG listing likely reflects the earlier dedicated metals/jewelry era. brockport.edu blocks automated fetch (403); facts via search snippets of brockport.edu pages + 2022 catalog. Faculty are sculpture/3D instructors, not jewelry specialists per se.
Added in the 2026 program review; not in the original 2014 directory.
