What happened
No verifiable evidence that TWU ever operated a dedicated metals/jewelry program. The institution is correctly "Texas Woman's University" (Denton, TX); the archived "Texas Women's University" is a misspelling. As of 2026 the Visual Arts division's studio areas do not include metals/jewelry. The archived faculty line "Alfred E. Green 1969 to present" is not corroborated by any source and matches the name of a well-known American film director (1889–1960), strongly suggesting the directory record for this entry is stale or partly fabricated. Since ~2014 the program of record (a metals program) cannot be confirmed to have existed; current TWU studio-art offerings center on 3D Studies, painting, photography, printmaking, and graphic design.
