What happened
Continuation with institutional restructuring. The School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA), historically affiliated with Tufts for degree-granting, fully merged into Tufts University in 2016 to become "SMFA at Tufts." The metals/jewelry program carried through that merger and remains an active area of study, now folded into Tufts' BFA/BA-BFA/BS-BFA, MFA, and Post-Bacc Studio Art degrees. Leadership reflects current Professors of the Practice (Reiss, Crane) rather than a single named director; no closure or renaming of the metals area itself.
