Now known as
Studio Art, B.F.A. — Metals and Contemporary Art Jewelry Concentration
What happened
Continuation with reorganization/renaming. The metals/jewelry offering persists but is now structured as a named concentration inside a consolidated B.F.A. in Studio Art rather than a standalone program. UW-Stout introduced a First-Year Experience (FYX) / Pre-BFA common foundation that students complete before declaring the Studio Art major and choosing the metals & contemporary art jewelry concentration. No closure of the metals offering found; the discipline remains taught with an active studio. Masako Onodera (joined late 1990s/2000s, CV on file from 2017) is the continuing metals faculty member, exhibiting nationally and internationally.
