What happened
The institution dropped "Community" and is now Yakima Valley College. The metals/jewelry component reflected in the archived (~2014) directory record no longer appears in the live institution: searches of the current 2025-2026 catalog (catalog.yvcc.edu) and Programs A-Z return "no results" for jewelry, metals, or metalsmithing, and the Spring 2025 class-highlights article lists art classes (Drawing I/II, Three-Dimensional Design, Functional Pottery I, Painting I, Digital Photography, art history) with no metals/jewelry offering. The art program continues only as a transfer (DTA) art degree; the metals/jewelry studio area appears discontinued sometime after the directory went offline. The only residual mention of "jewelry metals" is an adjunct Arts & Humanities instructor job posting that lists it among possible experience areas — not evidence of an active program.
