What happened
Continuation with no closure. The jewelry/lapidary/metalsmithing studio area has persisted as part of Yavapai College's Visual Arts program. It was not a degree of its own (it sits inside the Visual Arts / AAFA structure), and that arrangement continues. Course offerings remain active in the catalog through the 2024-2025 and preliminary 2026-2027 years. The Visual Arts program now markets itself via the ycarts.org / ycvisualarts.com site (yc.edu/arts redirects there), with Bryan Robertson as Visual Arts Chair and active jewelry instructors Jami Conroy and Chelsea Stone. No evidence of any leadership disruption tied to the program being threatened; this is a stable continuation.
