Nipple
The nipple is one of the few forms that evolution has prepared us to recognize and love. Sucking is our primary technology; a pathway for life, but also a locus of shame. It is a soft, demipointed reminder of our dependence. Air comes with each suspended milliliter of protein and carbohydrate we consume. This fuel oxidizes our blood, collapsing cells, stealing our mass for flames we can barely see. Even our minerals break us down. The nipple is mother feeding us rich poison. We are born suckling, moving from skin to bottle. We grow into adults, gnashing our teeth on flesh. The fetish is the fetal turned carnal, the need turned want.
