Research, not commercial software.
How these apps are shared, and what you accept by using them.
Everything at renato.design is a research artifact, not a commercial product. The apps are authored through Iterative LLM Co-Authorship (ILCA) — a collaboration between Phil Renato and Claude (Anthropic) — as an active, ongoing design inquiry. They are shared publicly in that spirit.
What this means before you use anything
- The apps are not warranted, supported, or validated for production, safety-critical, regulated, or professional work.
- They may contain bugs, broken features, unstable APIs, or outputs that look plausible but are wrong.
- Third-party dependencies are attributed in each app’s
NOTICES.md, but no formal IP clearance has been performed beyond that. - Domain-specific outputs (footwear lasts, jewelry geometry, CFD results, literary critiques, and so on) are exploratory. Do not use them as the basis for manufacturing, legal, medical, financial, or other consequential decisions without independent verification.
- The models and APIs some apps rely on are subject to their providers’ terms, which can change.

Source code is released under an MIT License with a research preamble. You may use, modify, and redistribute it; the things you make with it are yours. Attribution and the preamble travel with the source.
Your acceptance
If you use an app from renato.design, you accept the above. If any of it is a problem for your use case, do not use the software for that purpose. This is the condition under which the work is shared openly — treating it as more than research is your risk, not Phil’s.
