What happened
Metals/Jewelry is now a small part of Product Design. The Allesee Metals & Jewelry Design program (founded ~2002 by Phil Renato, formerly Carrizzi) ran standalone until 2020, when KCAD — citing low enrollment — merged industrial design, furniture design, and metals/jewelry into one interdisciplinary Product Design BFA; metals/jewelry survives only as a concentration, not a degree. In fall 2024 KCAD also folded more fully into Ferris State University (name retained). [field cleaned 2026-05-30 — Phil-confirmed]
