What happened
Continuation. The metals/jewelry program — one of RIT's oldest craft programs, rooted in the School for American Crafts faculty lineage (Prip, Christensen, Paley, Griffin, etc.) — remains active through 2024-2025 with no closure, merger, or rename. It continues as both an MFA and a BFA option under the School for American Crafts in the College of Art and Design. Leadership: Elizabeth Kronfield serves as Director of the School for American Crafts and School of Art (active 2024-2025, including metals/iron arts work); Juan Carlos Caballero-Perez is the lead professor of Metals and Jewelry Design.
