Galen V. Govier is a Mopar archivist who, beginning in the 1980s, compiled per-VIN production estimates for Chrysler muscle cars from a combination of sources: surviving fender tags, broadcast sheets sent in by owners, dealer invoices, registry submissions, and his own consultations with retired Chrysler personnel. Govier's binders are the registry-attested baseline for 1968–1974 Chrysler production figures.
Plenum cites Govier where his numbers are the strongest source available (which is most of the time for Chrysler) and tags the resulting figures as registry-attested. Where independent registries — the Super Bee Registry, the 1970 Charger Registry, MaxWedge — corroborate, the figure becomes registry-corroborated. We do not reproduce Govier's tables verbatim. We cross-check his numbers, report them with appropriate epistemic humility, and link out.
