  • V21 — hood paint blackout (Performance Hood Treatment)

    Flat black paint on the hood scoop and surrounding center panel. Mandatory with the V-code 440 Six-Pack air-grabber/scoop package on 1970 B-body.

  • V8X — bumblebee tail stripe

    1968–1971 Dodge performance-line tail stripe. Two parallel bands wrapping the rear quarter, with a Boss-Bee logo at the rear-most band on Super Bee.

  • V6W — longitudinal C-stripe

    1970 Dodge body-side stripe option. Long horizontal stripe running through the door and rear quarter, terminating in a graphic flourish at the rear.

  • A12 — 1969 1/2 Six-Barrel package

    Plymouth's mid-1969 Six-Barrel introduction. Lift-off matte-black hood with chromed pin latches, Edelbrock intake, three two-barrel Holleys, no wheel covers — the original A12.

  • Air Grabber (Plymouth) — 1970 hood scoop

    Plymouth's 1970 ram-air hood option. Vacuum-actuated scoop door that lifts under throttle, exposing twin shark-teeth graphics on the underside. Code N96 on the broadcast.

  • Shaker hood — 1970 E-body

    1970 'Cuda and Challenger ram-air option. Hood-mounted air cleaner pokes through a hole in the hood and shakes with the engine. Distinct from the Plymouth Air Grabber.

  • Y84 — Trans Am GTA package (1987–1992)

    Top-of-the-line Trans Am trim. Standard L98 5.7L TPI, WS6 suspension, articulated leather buckets, gold-cross-lace 16-inch wheels, GTA badging.

  • Y82 — 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am (1989)

    Indy 500 pace-car edition. 3.8L turbo V6 from the Buick Grand National, automatic only, white paint, tan leather. 1,555 built.

  • WS6 — Special Performance suspension

    Pontiac F-body sport-handling package. Larger sway bars, faster-ratio steering, four-wheel disc brakes, 16-inch wheels — standard on Trans Am from 1985-on.

  • B2L — 5.7L L98 engine callout

    RPO callout marking the L98 5.7L TPI as the ordered engine, standard on GTA from 1987 forward.

  • L69 — 5.0L H.O. 4-bbl (1983–1986)

    Carbureted high-output 305. 190 hp net at the top of its 1985 development. Pre-TPI Trans Am performance engine.

  • F41 — Special handling suspension

    GM corporate sport-suspension package. Stiffer springs, larger sway bars, firmer shocks. Available across Camaro, Firebird, and other F-body siblings.

  • NB2 — California emissions package

    GM corporate option callout for cars certified to California Air Resources Board (CARB) standards rather than the 49-state federal package.

  • KC4 — Engine oil cooler

    External engine-oil heat exchanger. Mandatory or near-mandatory on L98-equipped GTAs ordered with the heavy-duty cooling package.

  • V08 — Heavy-duty cooling

    Larger radiator, heavier-duty fan, higher-flow water pump on selected SKUs. Frequent companion to KC4 oil cooler on L98 GTAs.

  • CC1 — T-top removable roof panels

    Hurst / Glas-Lock T-tops. Tinted glass roof panels that lift out for open-air driving. Widely ordered on Trans Am / GTA / IROC-Z.

  • SPID label (Service Parts Identification)

    GM adhesive label that lists every RPO ordered on the car. 1982–1992 third-gen F-body lived in the glove box, then console, then rear hatch storage.

  • Broadcast sheet (Chrysler 1968–1974)

    11×17 dot-matrix form that traveled with the car down the line. Most often found in the seat springs decades later.

  • Fender tag (Chrysler 1965–1974)

    Embossed metal tag riveted to the radiator support / driver-side fender — a SALES code summary distinct from the broadcast sheet's running data.

  • A53 — Trans Am Package (1970 only)

    Sales code on the fender tag of every 1970 AAR 'Cuda and T/A Challenger. Bundles the J-code 340 Six-Barrel, side-exit exhaust, fibreglass hood scoop, body graphics, Rallye suspension, mandatory power-disc front brakes.

  • A12 — Six Pack Package (1969 only)

    1969-only Coronet Super Bee + Road Runner option. Lift-off matte-black fiberglass hood with four NASCAR pins, M-code 440 6-Bbl engine, A33 Track Pak, fifteen-inch unadorned steel wheels with center caps and trim rings.

  • V21 — Performance Hood Paint Treatment

    Matte-black hood blackout with sport stripes. Dodge Super Bee + Coronet R/T standard signature; option on most Chrysler B-body performance trims through 1971.

  • J81 — Rear Spoiler (Duck-Tail)

    Trunk-lid spoiler. Standard on AAR 'Cuda and T/A Challenger; option on most other 1970–71 E-body cars; reaches B-body on the late wing-car program.

  • M21 — Roof Drip-Rail Mouldings

    Bright drip-rail mouldings, both sides of the roof. Optional on stripped Coronets and Road Runners; standard on most upper-trim B/E-body.

  • 1LE — Camaro race-track package (1988–1992)

    Camaro Z28 / IROC-Z race-prep option. Special engine cooling, larger sway bars, baffled fuel tank, aluminum driveshaft, manual-only on most years, PBR-derived 4-wheel-disc brake package. Roughly 478 cars built across all years.

  • N96 Air Grabber / Ramcharger fresh-air hood

    Vacuum-actuated cowl-induction hood scoop. Plymouth: Air Grabber. Dodge: Ramcharger. Center-console toggle opens the trap door at speed.

  • Y86 — 1982 Camaro Z28 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car edition

    First-year third-gen Camaro Indy Pace Car package. Silver-and-blue two-tone, Cross-Fire 305 V8, distinctive Pace Car graphics. ~6,360 built.

    Chevrolet's third-gen Camaro performance trim. Z28 1982–86, replaced by IROC-Z (B4Z RPO) for 1985–90, then revived briefly for 1991–92 transition.

  • 1969 Plymouth Road Runner

    Peak production year — about 81,105 cars. Convertible body joined. Mid-year A12 introduces the M-code 440 Six-Barrel with the lift-off matte hood.

  • 1970 Plymouth Road Runner

    1970 facelift year. About 41,484 cars — half of 1969 volume. Same B-body shell as Super Bee with Plymouth-specific grille and Beep Beep horn. Standard 383 N-code; optional V-code Six-Barrel and 426 Hemi.

  • 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona

    NASCAR homologation special. Pointed nose cone + 23-inch rear wing on a Charger 500 body. About 503 built — the minimum NASCAR required. 70 Hemi cars; the rest 440 Magnum.

  • 1970 Plymouth Superbird

    Plymouth's NASCAR aero answer to the Daytona. Modified 1970 Road Runner body with nose cone + tall rear wing. 1,920 built — over the NASCAR 1,500-car minimum so Plymouth could lure Richard Petty back from Ford.

  • 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda

    Final big-block 'Cuda year. Quad-headlight grille restyle, gill side-marker insert. BS body code; 340 standard; 383, 440 / 440 Six-Barrel, 426 Hemi optional. Last year for the Hemi.

  • 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T

    Final R/T year for the E-body Challenger. Restyled split grille; engine list narrowed; 426 Hemi available but rare. JS body code.

  • 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee

    Super Bee moved from the Coronet to the Charger for 1971-only — the new 'fuselage' Charger restyle absorbed the model. Last year for the V-code 440 Six-Pack on the Bee.

  • 1971 Dodge Demon

    A-body Dart fastback variant introduced for 1971. Plymouth's parallel was the Duster (which preceded it by a year). Demon nameplate ran 1971–72 before religious-group pressure caused the rename to Dart Sport.

  • 1971 Dodge Demon 340

    High-performance Demon. 340 LA-series small-block four-barrel, performance hood with twin scoops, distinct Demon 340 graphics. Roughly 10,000 built.

  • 1971 Plymouth Duster

    A-body fastback. Launched 1970, the Duster outsold the Demon and remained the volume A-body high-style variant through the early '70s. Duster 340 carried the high-perf 340 four-barrel.

    Introduction year. A-body Valiant chassis with new fastback roof line, marketed as a youth-oriented economical sport coupe. ~217,000 built across all trims.

    First-pass NASCAR aero Charger. Flush rear backlight + flush A-pillar grille. 392 built — the original NASCAR 500-car homologation minimum. Hemi or 440 Magnum.

    B-body Coronet performance trim. WS body code. Standard 440 Magnum 4-bbl; Hemi optional. The mid-line muscle Dodge between Super Bee (Medium) and Charger R/T (High).

  • 1970 Dodge Coronet (base 2-door)

    B-body Coronet, base trim. The volume 2-door under the Super Bee, R/T, Coronet 500, and Coronet 440 trims that get the registry attention. Slant Six standard; small-block and 383 V8 optional.

  • 1970 Dodge Charger (base 2-door)

    B-body Charger, base hardtop. XP body-code prefix in 1970 (per the existing 1970 broadcast vocabulary). The Coke-bottle silhouette without the R/T badge. 318 standard; 383 and 440 optional. Hemi was R/T-only.

  • 1968 Dodge Charger (base 2-door)

    First year of the Coke-bottle Charger reskin. XP base hardtop, XS R/T optional. Richard Sias's design landed; the body would carry through 1970 essentially unchanged.

  • Camaro Sport Coupe (base, 3rd-gen, 1982–1992)

    The base 3rd-gen Camaro under the Z28 / IROC-Z trims. Iron Duke 4-cyl standard 1982–86, V6 standard 1987+. Carbureted small-block V8 optional through 1988; TBI V8 1988–92.

  • Pontiac Firebird (base, 3rd-gen, 1982–1992)

    The base 3rd-gen Firebird under the Formula and Trans Am trims. Series FS in the VIN. Iron Duke 4-cyl 1982–86, V6 standard 1987+, optional V8s up to the LB9 5.0 TPI on the late ones.
