WS6 is Pontiac's option callout for the special-performance suspension package on third-generation Firebird/Trans Am. The package brings larger front and rear sway bars, the faster-ratio (12.7:1) power steering box, four-wheel disc brakes, and the 16-inch wheel-and-tire package. From 1985 onward it became standard equipment on Trans Am and the GTA, optional on Firebird Formula. WS6 carries forward into the fourth-generation F-body with the same general intent.
