A-833 4-speed manual

Chrysler's heavy-duty four-speed. Iron-cased, slip-yoke output. The manual choice on big-block Mopars.

The A-833 is a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission used across the 1964–1985 Chrysler lineup, in performance guises through the muscle era and in regular production well after. Behind a V-code or Hemi, the A-833 is the heavy-duty version with closer ratios and stronger gear sets. The shifter is direct-coupled; the throw is short relative to the column-shift three-speeds it replaced.
