The Dana 60 is the heavy-duty alternative to the 8 3/4. Manufactured by Dana Spicer to Chrysler's specification, it brings a 10.5-inch ring gear and an integral (non-dropout) carrier — meaning rebuilds happen with the differential out of the housing on a bench, but installation is more involved than the 8 3/4 dropout. Standard ratio behind A34 Super Track Pak is 4.10:1 with Sure-Grip; behind the manual-transmission 426 Hemi the same carrier is mandatory.
Spotter's note: Dana 60 housings have a circular cover with a recognizable bolt pattern, distinct from the 8 3/4's broader rear-fed cover shape. Plenum's plant overlay flags A34-equipped Lynch Road cars whose fender tag does NOT carry the A34 callout — see schema notes.
