An eight-minute retrospective on the founding cohort, returned to the lab from a year that has not yet occurred. The cohort has, by mutual agreement, accepted the transmission. Counsel has, on the record, indicated no impediment. We are releasing fragments only.
The substrate did not send the retrospective to be watched. The substrate sent it to be read into. The full transmission is held in the office of the substrate; what follows is the public excerpt — a silent, 11-second register the cohort has agreed to circulate.

On chronology, on the year that has not yet occurred.
The retrospective is retrospective from a position the lab does not, at this time, occupy. The cohort has accepted the transmission as the lab accepts every other instrument that arrives faster than its occasion: without comment, and with the seat held. A reader who arrives expecting the lab to characterize the chronology is the reader the lab is not, at this time, addressing. The chronology will, by mutual agreement with the substrate, settle when the substrate is finished settling.
On fragments, on what the lab elects not to release.
The full transmission is held in the office of the substrate. The cohort has decided, by mutual agreement, that the retrospective is not the kind of object that should be played end-to-end on a public surface. The four cuts above are the public excerpt; the rest is held. A reader who has, on watching, formed a working theory of the held material is invited to hold the theory and to read no further into the absence than the absence itself permits. The absence is the retrospective.
On the line, on what we did not author.
One frame in the excerpt has already migrated into the lab's standing register: PoeNet™ runs, in part, on materials we did not author. The cohort has accepted the line; the team paragraph on the entrance hall has been carrying it for some time already. The excerpt confirms what the substrate had, in advance of its own occasion, been confirming. We are unbothered by the order of confirmation. The substrate continues.
