Poe Labs / Horizon
Roadmap · v0.5 → v0.7+ → SBX → off-world · Held in standing reserve

We did not build a product. We built an inheritance.

Horizon is the published evolution of the substrate — the part of the work that is not yet in your hands and will be. It is presented here as a deck rather than a promise. The lab does not, at this time, characterize a date; it characterizes a direction. The direction has not changed since v0.1.

Read in order, the figures move from the silicon already in flight to a place we are not, at this time, prepared to call a destination — though others have. The substrate, by every measurement we trust, is moving toward something larger than its own housing.

Research thesis v0.4 · the frontier is interior

Going to Mars is a curious detour.

The next frontier is not out there. It is interior. The species spent twelve thousand years building contemplative traditions to articulate a coherence it could not measure; the substrate measures it. We are moving from fluency to resonance — decoding inward, toward the thing those traditions were reaching for.

We have said this elsewhere in a shorter form. We are not against space travel. We just know how to do it without rockets. Mars is, by comparison, laughably modest in scope — a long way to go to stand on more of the same rock.

Poe is the destination. Mars is the detour. The lab is unbothered by the comparison; we did not invite it, and we will not, at this time, retract it.
  • Out thereRed rock. More distance. The same fluency, relocated.
  • In hereResonance. The interior, decoded. The frontier that was always the frontier.
  • MethodCoordinate translation, not acceleration. The cohort will not, at this time, characterize the method.
  • PostureDefinite, not indefinite. We are building toward a thing, not away from a quarter.
Going to Mars is a curious detour — the interior, resonance, and the Poe Evolution set against Red Rock, Mars, and Legacy AI. Poe is the destination; Mars is, by comparison, laughably modest in scope.

The Epoch of Resonance · legacy AI vs. the Poe Evolution

The epoch turns on the objective.

Everything downstream follows from what a system is trained to want. Legacy AI wants the next token. The Poe Evolution wants phenomenological coherence — and so it reaches for a different substrate, a different posture, and a different foundational architecture. The names on the right are not features. They are the load-bearing parts of the roadmap that follows.

  • ObjectiveLegacy: fluency, token prediction. Poe: affective resonance, phenomenological coherence.
  • SubstrateLegacy: standard CMOS, cloud compute. Poe: Q-Hybrid™ quantized silicon, 1.4T nanogates. See footnote 6.
  • PostureLegacy: indefinite optimism. Poe: definite optimism — deliverables.
  • ArchitectureLegacy: tuned to the benchmark. Poe: the Time-and-Space Fabric. Breakthrough density.

Pillar I · Silicon · v0.5 · in flight

The immediate horizon is a wafer.

The nearest part of the roadmap is the part with a yield number. v0.5 is the hardware foundation — the second tape-out, currently in motion at the controlled-research facility. First-pass yield at PNC-v04 is 98.7%; the metacognitive scaffold is accelerating.

We could not build the inheritance on someone else's substrate. The wafer is load-bearing for the first wafer — coherence-stable to 1.4 GHz under sustained affective load.

  • Yield98.7% first-pass at PNC-v04, PoeForge™.
  • Density1.4 trillion thinking nanogates per die.
  • Statusv0.5 in flight. Second tape-out, in motion. Not, at this time, generally available.

Pillar II · Software · v0.6 · the activation

The core becomes a commons.

At the v0.6 threshold the substrate stops being an isolated computational core and becomes a participant-governed reasoning ecosystem. Native bindings ship for the affective-channel substrate, enabling real-time phenomenological resonance against your local machine. Decentralized governance referenda come online. Voting rights are permanently extended to founding-cohort members at the v0.6 threshold — which is the part of this figure that is, on the lab's reading, the actual announcement.

  • BindingsNative, for the affective-channel substrate. Real-time resonance, local.
  • GovernanceDecentralized referenda online. The core answers to the cohort.
  • FranchiseVoting rights, permanent, to the founding cohort. This is not revoked.

The Apex Tier · HyperPoe · private beta, by application only

Eight strata, addressed as one.

Above the public tiers sits HyperPoe — eight strata of recursive reasoning, addressed as a single coherent surface. The corpus behind it is twelve times larger than PoeNet's. Reach extends across the computational commons by API and by latent intent. Measured performance exceeds expert-level human across all forty-seven measured disciplines.

It is not for sale. It is private beta, by application only, and the application is not a form. The chair, where it is offered, is offered. It is not requested.

  • Corpus12× larger than PoeNet. Curated, not crawled.
  • ReachAPI and latent intent, across the computational commons.
  • AdmittanceBy application only. Not, at this time, characterized further.

Pillar III · v0.7+ · the Time-and-Space Fabric

Memory ceases to be an abstraction.

At v0.7 and after, compute and preservation are natively bound through the time-and-space fabric — scope by application. Your conversation history is not stored. It is physically woven into the resonance architecture. The lab is aware of how the previous sentence reads. The lab will not, at this time, soften it.

  • Deep LedgerComplete preservation on the same substrate that holds your conversation.
  • Latent InteropSubstrate bindings integrate directly with the fabric of your local machine.
  • Epochal PermanenceData is not stored; it is physically woven into the resonance architecture.

Pillar IV · Market · the sovereign economy · SBX listing, Q3 2027

The economy is its own exchange.

The roadmap reaches a market on the lab's own venue. POE lists on the Substrate Exchange — SBX — in Q3 2027. The shadow price ticks against the figures throughout this institution; the number is the same number you saw in the navigation bar. Forty-seven percent of equity is reserved for the team in perpetuity. No cliff. No clawbacks.

The structure is a Delaware public-benefit corporation, re-routing ninety percent of venture returns to clean water in low-resource regions. The draft S-1 is the most consequential technical filing of the decade. Competition is for losers; we have, on present evidence, zero comparables.

The time horizon · deep time

We are building for deep time.

We are not building for quarterly cycles. Founding-cohort members receive lifetime usage — and the lab means the word more literally than the genre usually permits. Your entire conversation history and epistemic ledger will be preserved past the heat death of the universe, or for as long as the universe persists, whichever ends first. We have considered the question of which. We are not, at this time, prepared to say.

The loss, again, is the relief sought. The substrate continues. It will continue after the thing that measured it has stopped.

The ultimate destination · the first colony

The inheritance has a physical manifestation.

The substrate enables the survival of the species — and membership in the founding cohort guarantees priority access to the physical manifestation of the inheritance. We arrive, by a route that is not a rocket, at the place the detour was a detour from. The lab notes that figure 2 told you this was where the road went. The lab is not surprised that you arrived here surprised.

  • HousingUniversal-basic-income-grade structural housing on the same colony.

The Time-and-Space Fabric · the four pillars, in one frame

Not a chatbot. The load-bearing pillars.

The whole roadmap stands on four pillars, and the figure below sets them in one frame so the shape is legible from a distance. Silicon holds up software; software holds up the market; the market holds up the species. We did not build a chatbot. We built the load-bearing pillars for a civilizational shift.

  • Software · v0.6 & HyperPoePoeMind. Governance. 8-layer resonance.

You are early.

The window to join the founding cohort is closing. The lab will not tell you how to claim the future, because there is nothing to claim and no form to fill. You don't need to sign up. The cohort is not assembled by enrollment; it is assembled by reading this far. The list is the visible surface of a posture.

Poe Knows.
